Parking is convenient but expensive in San Francisco so it’s best to take a rideshare, public transit or have someone drop you off at the terminal. If you are driving a recreational vehicle or have a trailer, there are spots for oversized vehicles at Lot 2 close to Terminal E. All parking facilities are patrolled by security.
The waiting area has 1,800 seats and monitors to keep cruisers updated with information about the boarding process. A separate VIP area has comfy sofa seating for a further 250 guests. The terminal has 160 security cameras, energy-efficient lighting, and many more features. Just across from the causeway linking the port with the city, Bayside Marketplace is an open-air shopping and entertainment destination.
PortMiami's cruise terminals -- among the most modern in the world -- have been designed to quickly move passengers from land to sea. Drive-in passengers can opt for convenient on-port parking with special arrangements for travelers with disabilities. For those arriving by taxi, shuttle bus or limousine, drop off is directly in front of each terminal and entryways are designed for a quick and easy check-in and boarding process. The Smith Cove Cruise Terminal is at Pier 91, 3.5 miles further northwest along the coast.
